Meet Annukka!

Hi there!

My name is Annukka and I’m in charge of marketing at Mia Liv. I was born and raised in southern Lapland but now settled down to Helsinki.

I’m the person behind our social media and I’ve also taken most of the pictures on our channels. I’m extremely interested in photography and I wish I had more time to do that.

What is your role at Mia Liv?

I’m in charge of marketing, product development and customer relations. I oversee our digital marketing channels including social media. A typical day for me would be managing marketing campaigns, posting on social media channels and searching for new partners to cooperate with. Indeed, it is very difficult to describe a typical day as each day is very different for a small business owner.

What did you do before Mia Liv?

Miia and I ran two interior design shops for years: one in Oulu and the other in Helsinki. Before that I studied marketing at the University of Oulu and worked part-time in customer service at different stores.

Which hobby or activity are you particularly enjoying at the moment and why?

During the pandemic, there is not much we can do. My favourite activity is doing crosswords, practicing yoga and strolling in the forest. These activities help me to unwind and relax after busy days.

What is your passion?

My passion is learning about life through traveling. I believe traveling can inspire, help a person grow and make you feel more connected to the world.

What is your favorite product of Mia Liv collection?

There are too many to choose from, but if I’ve to choose just one I’d say Splash poster. Splash’s natural shades harmonize with each other so beautifully, bringing some color to your interior. I also like how it really looks like real paint dripping down from a splash.

What is your favorite quote?

There are two (and many more).

There are more things in heaven and earth, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” This reminds me to always stay humble and enjoy the life to the fullest, as our knowledge of reality is limited by nature and there is always something unknown ready to reveal itself unexpectedly.

”If you stay positive in a negative situation, you win“. If we stay positive, good things and good people will be drawn to us.

What is something that you are thankful for?

I am lucky to have an amazing, loving family and friends that are always there to listen and lend an advice to keep me going.

Also health.

A few years back we lost our father who had been battling a severe disease for quite some time. This was the point where I realised none of us are here forever and that we should enjoy life and little moments, here and now.
